Heidi Cornwell, B.App.Sc (Speech Pathology), CPSP, Clinic Director, has been working as a Speech Pathologist within the Northern Beaches for a  number of years. Heidi has experience in early intervention for children with speech and language delay, with a special interest in the area of Childhood Apraxia of speech (Dyspraxia). Heidi has worked closely with preschools and schools in the area to provide support for educators working with children with communication difficulties. If you have any questions about the clinic please feel free to contact her at any stage.

Rebecca King, B.App.Sc (Speech Pathology), CPSP, is a passionate Speech Pathologist who works at our Northern Beaches Clinic in Balgowlah.  Rebecca has experience working within private practice on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore with expertise in supporting children with a variety of communication needs, including a special interest in assisting kids to overcome challenges with speech, language and literacy. Rebecca’s enthusiasm ensures that therapy is a fun and enjoyable experience for each child.

Jenna Wolvers, BSLT (Hons.), CPSP, has just moved to Sydney from New Zealand. She is an enthusiastic Speech Pathologist who has over 5 years experience working for the Ministry of Education, Special Education. Through her roles she has gained experience working with children, in an educational setting, with varying skill levels and diagnoses. She enjoys working with families and helping children as individuals to overcome barriers in order to achieve their communication goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Valerie Parrott, L.C.S.T, CPSP, has over 35 years’ experience working with children with speech and language delay.  She has spent most of this time working in early intervention in public health on the Northern Beaches. In 2015, Valerie was awarded speech pathologist of the year for the Northern Sydney Area Health District by her peers. She is also trained in the SOS approach to feeding and can work with families who are having feeding difficulties with their children and issues with transitioning to solid foods.

Susie Borg, B.App.Sc (Speech Pathology) Hons¹, CPSP, is an experienced clinician that has worked in a wide range of settings with children across Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. She has clinical experience within paediatric private practices, schools, community clinics and hospitals. Susie is certified in Hanen, VitalStim and PROMPT, and informally trained in the SCERTS model and DIR Floortime. She has a keen interest in a variety of areas, particularly motor speech disorders and feeding. She also has a passion for, and is actively involved in, international research. In 2014, her research was presented at the International Association of Applied Linguistics World Congress in Brisbane.
