Getting started with therapy at Talk-Time Speech Pathology

No referral is required to get started. Many families contact us directly when they have concerns about their child’s speech, language, or literacy development. If your child does have a referral from a GP or paediatrician, you are welcome to provide it, but it is not necessary to book.
There are some referrals that may allow your child to be eligible for a Medicare rebate. See the Funding options below for more information.
The initial appointment usually involves assessment and discussion. We take time to understand your child’s history, current strengths and challenges, and the goals that matter most to your family. From there, we outline recommended next steps and explain how therapy will be structured. You can learn more about this process on our What to Expect page.
Session frequency depends on your child’s age, needs, and goals. After assessment, we will provide clear recommendations and explain the reasoning behind them so you can make informed decisions.
Our clinic is located at Unit 2, 252 Allambie Road, Allambie Heights NSW 2100. Most sessions take place in our clinic, and we also offer school and preschool visits as well as telehealth where appropriate. If you are unsure whether the location will suit your family, please contact us to discuss.
Yes. In addition to clinic-based appointments in Allambie Heights, therapy may be delivered in school or preschool settings where appropriate, or via telehealth when suitable for your child.
