Bernadette holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the Australian Catholic University and is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist registered with Speech Pathology Australia.
Bernadette is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based therapy to children and adolescents aged 9 months to 18 years. She has extensive experience working across various areas, including language, speech sound disorders, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), fluency, literacy, social communication, and feeding skills. Her particular interest areas lie in literacy, early intervention, feeding skills and speech sound disorders.
Throughout her career, Bernadette has worked with diverse clinical populations, including children with Global Developmental Delay, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, and genetic differences. She is committed to empowering her clients with the skills and support they need to communicate effectively and participate fully in everyday life. Bernadette strongly values a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients and enjoys working closely with parents, carers, educators, and other health professionals.
Beyond her clinical work, Bernadette has a keen interest in supervision and training, having mentored university students, allied health assistants, and early-career speech pathologists. She is dedicated to ongoing professional development and contributing to the advancement of the speech pathology profession.
